Police Blotter -- Wednesday, Dec. 19

Hamden Police made recent arrest for charges ranging from drug possession to strangulation to interfering with an emergency call.

  -- Vincent Adell, 46, of New Jersey, was charged Nov. 20 with disorderly conduct. He was arraigned the next day in Meriden Superior Court.

-- Yolanda Altreche, 37, of 11 Jean St., Hamden, was charged Nov. 22 with second-degree breach of peace and criminal mischief. She was arraigned the next day in Meriden Superior Court.

-- Jesus Alvarado, 18, of 25 Savoy St., Hamden, was charged Nov. 29 with disorderly conduct. He was arraigned the next day in Meriden Superior Court.

-- Krystal Augustine, 30, of 2 Valley Pl., New Haven, was charged Dec. 5 with second-degree breach of peace. She was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 18.

-- Donald Belcher, 36, of 149 Church St., was charged Nov. 27 with threatening and disorderly conduct. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bond and was arraigned the next day in Meriden Superior Court.

-- Alexandria Booker, 19, of 49 St. Mary St., Hamden, was charged Nov. 24 with disorderly conduct. She was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court Nov. 26.

-- Moises Dominguez, 28, of 118 Fourth St., was charged Dec. 2 with second-degree breach of peace and threatening. He was held in lieu of $5,000 bond and was arraigned the next day in Meriden Superior Court.

-- Eduardo Figueroa, 27, of 14 Fourth Ave., West Haven, was charged Dec. 5 with sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal trespass. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court Dec. 20.

-- Shandrika Jackson, 40, of 306 Pine Rock Ave., Hamden, was charged Dec. 7 with sixth-degree larceny. She was held in lieu of $1,000 bond and is due to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 21.

-- Dec. 18. -- Kevin McClenon, 32, of 19B Dudley St., Hamden, was charged Dec. 6 with interfering with an emergency call, disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court the next day.

-- James Mormile, 28, of 18 Landsdowne Ave., Hamden, was charged Dec. 3 with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphenalia. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 17.

But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
