Police Blotter -- Wednesday, March 6

The following arrest information was provided by the Hamden Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Feb. 4, 2013:

Kenneth Nichols, 31, of 423 Wildwood Dr., Orange, was charged with sixth-degree larceny. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 14.

Feb. 6, 2013:

William Hardy, 46, of 339 Eastern St., New Haven, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 20.

Tomika Holland, 39, of 906 Dixwell Ave., was charged with interfering with a police officer. She posted $57 bond and was arriagned Feb. 20 in Meriden Superior Court.

Ciera Lewis, 26 of 95 South Genese St., New Haven, was charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 20.

Craig McCarthy, 49, of 35 Meadow View Dr., North Haven, was charged with two counts of possession of a saw-off shotgun or silencer. He was held in lieu of $10,000 bond and was arraigned Feb. 19 in Meriden Superior Court.

Ryan Tucker, 33, of 128 Broadway, Hamden, was charged with reckless driving and evading responsibility. He was held in lieu of $10,000 bond and was arraigned Feb. 19 in Meriden Superior Court.

Feb. 7, 2013:

Omar Brown, 33, of 90 Burke St., Hamden, was chargd with three counts of violation of probation. He was held in lieu of $30,000 bond and was arraigned Feb. 19 in Meriden Superior Court.

Morgan Maichack, 21, of 87 Manchester St., Hartford, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court the next day.

Anthony McKinney, 35, of 306 Pine Rock Ave., Hamden, was charged with disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a child. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court the next day.

Brian Washington, 22, of 793 Mix Ave., Hamden, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court the next day.

Michael Wimmer, 18, of 190 Dessa Drive, Hamden, was charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on a promise to appear in Meriden Superior Court the next day.

Feb. 8, 2013:

Turai Washington, 26, of Virginia, was charged with sixth-degree larceny. Washington was released after posting $500 bond and was arraigned Feb. 20 in Meriden Superior Court.

But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
