Police Hunt Men Involved in Early Morning Street Robbery

A Hobson Avenue man was attacked when he got out of his car about 3:30 a.m. Monday morning, according to police.

Hamden Police are searching for the person responsible for a street robbery that happened early Monday morning.

At about 3:30 a.m. Monday morning a Hobson Avenue man called police to report that he had been attacked in his driveway, according to Sgt. Anthony Diaz.  

"The victim stated that he arrived home and pulled into his driveway and as he exited his vehicle he was approached by two males in his driveway," Diaz said in a release Tuesday.  "The two males then attacked him, punching him in his face and knocking him to the ground.  The victim stated that his cell phone and wallet were taken.  His wallet contained his ID, credit cards and approximately $180.00 dollars in cash."

The victim couldn't provide provide police with a description of the men who attacked him, Diaz said.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hamden Police Department at 203-230-4000.
