Police are looking for the person responsible for a purse snatching that occured Tuesday on Dixwell Avenue.
A 25-year-old woman was waiting at a bus stop at the intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Arch Street around noon Tuesday when a teen, described as a dark-skinned male about 14 to 17 years old with a thin build and wearing a sweatshirt and black winter hat, grabbed her purse from her arm, according to police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.
"The victim chased the individual on foot towards the rear of St. Ann’s Church," Smith said. "A further search for the individual by Hamden Police was unsuccessful."
The victim lost personal belongings and a small amount of money, Smith said.
