Police Looking for Woman in Stop & Shop Larceny

She allegedly tried to leave the store with more than $400 worth of groceries she didn't pay for, and then hit several cars as she left the parking lot, according to police.

 

From the Hamden Police Department:

On Nov. 20 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Hamden Police responded to Stop and Shop at 1245 Dixwell Ave. on the report of an attempted larceny and an evading responsibility.

Investigation revealed that an individual, described as a white female, brown hair, in her late 20’s, exited the store without purchasing $428.93 worth of merchandise.

She was subsequently approached by store security, at which time she left her carriage with stolen items and hurriedly entered her motor vehicle, described as a maroon Subaru Impreza.

The individual then struck two motor vehicles while fleeing from the parking lot. One of the vehicles was occupied by a mother and her 4-year-old child. There were no reported injuries.
