Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to get a 16-year-old Hamden High School students to get in his car last month.
The incident happened on April 26 on Stonewall Drive, according to Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith. Stonewall Drive is off of Still Hill Road in the vicinity of West Woods School.
The girls's mother told police that her daughter got off the school bus and was approached by a white man in his 30s with dark hair who was driving a red car, Smith said.
The man tried several times to lure the girl into the car, asking if she wanted a ride to his house, but the girl refused, Smith said. The man then drove away, he said.
Police searched the area but couldn't find the man or the vehicle, Smith said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Paul Calamita at 203-230-4000.
