Police Searching for 2 Suspects in Early Morning Hamden Burglary

A resident checking his basement after hearing a noise early Thursday, discovered two burglars in his home, according to Hamden Police.

At about 4 a.m. March 20, police responded to the Breckenridge Court residence on the report of a burglary.

According to police, the homeowner heard a noise inside his residence and when he checked the basement, he saw two men wearing dark-colored clothing. The pair fled on foot through a rear basement door, according to police. Police determined the suspects had entered the residence via an unlocked basement door.

Officer Jason Venditto and his K-9 partner Viking conducted a track, which led northbound on Breckenridge Court.

The police report did not indicate whether anything was stolen.

The Hamden Police Department Detective Division has taken over the investigation.
