Postal Worker Charged with Stealing Gift Cards; Barefoot Break-in; and More

Barefoot Break-in
A trail of broken glass and blood led Branford police to a barefoot suspect who allegedly broke into a business and left behind a bag of cocaine.

Police said they located the 29-year-old East Haven man behind the building. He was taken to the hospital for injuries on his feet, and charged with burglary and possession, according to police.
 
A Whopper of an Arrest
A Facebook video showing two teens throwing a drink on a Burger King drive-thru employee resulted in their arrest this week.

Milford police said two 17-year-olds were arrested on a charge of breach of peace in relation to the incident that took place June 15. The video has been taken down, police said.

Cops Put Lights Out on Marijuana Growing Operation
It was while Milford police were in pursuit of a wanted man that they came across a marijuana growing operation.

Police said they discovered nine marijuana plants in the Broadway home of a 24-year-old resident. He was arrested on drug charges.
The man officers were originally after got away, according to police.
 
Postal Worker Charged With Stealing Gift Cards
A 31-year-old part-time postal worker was arrested this week on charges that she was stealing gift cards from the mail.

North Branford the investigation was launched after the local post office began being inundated by complaints about the missing cards. When police arrested the woman, she reportedly had more than 27 gift cards in her possession.
