QU Student Facing Drug Charges

Police allegedly found marijuana under his desk in his dorm room early Monday morning.

 

A Quinnipiac University student was arrested on drug charges early Monday morning after university security reported to police that they smelled pot coming from a dorm room.

At about 1 a.m. officers responded to the dorm and after entering the room of Patrick Mulligan, found 114.7 grams of marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia, under his desk, according to Hamden Police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.

Mulligan, 19, of 326 Woodstock Ave., Stratford, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possessionof Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on a Written Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 20.

Officer Jennifer King conducted the investigation.
