QU Student Loses Part of His Ear After Bar Fight

A fight between a Quinnipiac student and several other people at a Hamden bar early Friday morning resulted in the student losing part of his ear, according to police.

Hamden Police received a report of a 19-year-old student injured in an assault at about 2:30 a.m. Friday, according to police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith.

The student reportedly got into an argument with several other people inside of Andale's Restaurant at 3307 Whitney Ave., Smith said. The disagreement continued outside the restaurant, he said, where it turned into a fight, during which the student lost part of his ear.
