Raid Leads to New Haven Man's Arrest

Marijuana, cocaine found in Industrial Circle building.

A New Haven man was arrested Tuesday after police raided a building off Putnam Avenue and found drugs.

"The Hamden Police Department Street Interdiction Team concluded a lengthy drug investigation" into the location, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said, which led to the execution of a search and seizure warrant at 5 Industrial Circle. Officers there seized crack cocaine and marijuana, Smith said. 

Jerry Salter, 29, of 242 Davenport Ave., New Haven, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of marijuana.

Salter also was arrested on two warrants charging him with the sale of narcotics.

Salter was held in lieu of $105,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court Jan. 6.
