Update: Body found in Trumbull Is ESCU Student

Police are now confirming that the body found Friday in Trumbull is that of missing Eastern Connecticut State University student Alyssiah Wiley.
State police say DNA testing done at the Connecticut State Forensic Lab in Meriden confirmed the identity of the 20-year-old woman, WTNH is reporting. An autopsy will be performed to determine how she died.

The Connecticut Post is reporting that the body of a woman found off Quarry Road in Trumbull near the Bridgeport line may be that of a missing ESCU student.

State Police have not released any information as to the identity of the found body, according to the report. But several police sources said it may be the body of the missing student, the paper is reporting.

Twenty-year-old Eastern Connecticut student Alyssiah Wiley was reported missing April 24 after she left her dorm at the college for a weekend visit to her home in West Haven. She has not been heard from since.

Since then, state police have searched large bodies of water looking for the woman, according to the Post, On Thursday, the state police's dive team searched Bunnell Pond near Beardsley Park in Bridgeport, the newspaper reported.
