Report: Hamden Man Arrested In Armed Robbery of Students

Alex Turner was charged with illegal use of a credit card, identity theft, sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree criminal attempt to commit larceny, according to a New Haven Register report.

A local man was arrested by Hamden Police on Wednesday for allegedly robbing two Southern Connecticut State University students at gunpoint last fall, according to a New Haven Register report.

Alex Turner, 32, was charged with illegal use of a credit card, identity theft, sixth-degree larceny and sixth-degree criminal attempt to commit larceny.

The Register reports that the two students were walking on Nov. 21 when a person came out of the woods, pointed a gun at them and took their valuables.

Turner was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.
