Report: Hamden Police Commission Investigating Officers

Published reports put the number of officers the commission is investigating at five.

The New Haven Register reported this week that the Police Department, in addition to investigating two officers for that reportedly happened last November, is now looking into the conduct of the that ended with a car crashing into a New Haven house earlier this year.

The Register reports that at the Police Commission's meeting Wednesday members learned that Chief Thomas Wydra has brought charges against the three officers regarding their conduct Jan. 31 when they allegedly chased a car from Hamden into New Haven, where it crashed into the first floor of a home.

But because it already is dealing with the two other officers involved in the taser incident, the commission did not set a date to hear the newest charges, the Register reports.

gee is this necessary really?I get the home owner is upset but that house sits on a corner with no blockade at all the house could be hit (and i bet if you look it up it has)by anyone at any time by not paying attention or mis calculating acceleration, okay maybe they shouldnt have crossed lines and called for newhaven to take it up,but really look at the whole picture and chief if you only saw how many times new haven has done just the same or actually been stalking folks in your yard,so police business needs to be done will there be mishaps yes.sit the boys down have a good talk with them maybe take a refresher course or two and lets move on for all the work they do nobody talks about the good stuff just harp the hell out of the bad and sometimes stupid.the boys do a lot of good and i thank them but then im only one .The driver was at fault on this he should have pulled over even if the out come was to be arrest, its much worse now!

This criminal was arrested 17 times and since he was chased into New Haven by our fine Policemen they are being investigated. Does anyone see anything wrong with this scenario!

Check the facts, Mr. Charles. Google or Bing "case lookup criminal connecticut". Enter his name under defendant search. Was the driver not the one who was claimed to have 17 arrests? In fact, he only had 4 convictions. Those convictions were subjective, based on police opinions only. He didn't steal or asault or anything like that. This is hype and it is wrong to publish these things. It is slanderous. There is no excuse. Reporting what a police officer says, should HAVE the officer's name and when he or she said it. This reported as a fact and it is false.

Okay Anne he was such a good boy and was so good to his Mom and Grandma as they all are once accused and arrested. \Wake up honey and stop defending these people who have 17 arrests. Next you will be defending Jewe Richardson. Hope you will join the next march for one of these criminals it may make you feel better. Call Barbara Fair she can help point you in the wrong direction.
