Report: Man Chucks Rock Through Kid's Window

Large rock narrowly misses child.

A Hamden man hurled a rock through a bedroom window in a Naugatuck apartment, narrowly missing a child who was sleeping in the bedroom, police said.

Eddie Sheats, a 30-year-old convicted felon who lives at 307 Mill Rock Rd., went to his girlfriend’s home in the Southwood apartments and became angry when she did not answer the door at 10:42 p.m., police said.

“A large rock landed inside a child’s bedroom inches away from where the child was sleeping,” a police report states. The child was not injured.

Sheats was charged with risk of injury to a child, second-degree criminal mischief and breach of peace.

He was arraigned Wednesday at Waterbury Superior Court. He did not enter a plea and his case was continued to Nov. 6. The case has also been referred to a family relations counselor.

Sheats has convictions in Connecticut for possession with intent to sell, larceny and disorderly conduct, according to the state Judicial Branch website.

Note: This police report was released by the Naugatuck Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not equal a conviction.

while receiving Staples Rewards does help defray the cost of supplies for the teachers, they areRead More STILL putting cash out of their own pockets! This should not be. But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
