Shooting Sunday Evening in Hamden

At least one person was apparently shot Sunday evening in the area of southern Dixwell Avenue.

At least one person was shot Sunday evening in an incident that happened off Dixwell Avenue.

Shortly after 6 p.m., police were searching in the area of Sammy's Grocery Store at 863 Dixwell Ave. for the suspects or suspects.

According to reports, at least one victim may have known the person who shot him. The victim or victims were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital.
