Stun Gun Leads to Charges for New Haven Man

A New Haven man was arrested Monday after he was allegedly found in possession of a stun gun, prohibited due to his status as a convicted felon, according to police.

At about 2:15 p.m. Monday Officer Joseph Liguori saw the man driving a scooter southbound on Dixwell Avenue, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said. Liguori thought the man had a weapon on him, Smith said, so he stopped him on Dixwell Avenue near Maplewood Terrace.

Ligouri found that the man, identified as Kevin Dinatale, 61, of 210 State St., Apartment 3A, New Haven, had on him the stun gun, Smith said. According to the state Judicial Website, Dinatale was found guilty of burglary and drug charges in 2006.
