Wallingford Man Charged in Hockey House Break-In

He allegedly broke into the business, which is under construction, and stole a television set, on Aug. 1. Police arrested him at his home today.

 

Labor Day wasn't much of a holiday for a Wallingford man who ended up behind bars, charged with the Aug. 1 burglary of a Hamden business.

Todd Tondalo, 40, of 30 Cardinal Dr., Wallingford, was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny in connection with the  Aug. 1 break-in at the “Hamden Hockey House” at 109 Sanford St. in Hamden.

Hamden Police officers found that an individual had entered the business, which was under construction, and stole a television, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said Monday.

"After an extensive investigation by Detective Brian Stewart, a suspect, Todd Tondalo was developed," Smith said. Detective Stewart subsequently submitted an arrest warrant application for Tondalo to Meriden Superior Court. The arrest warrant application was approved."

Today, Detective Stewart and Detective Mark Consorte, with the assistance of the Wallingford Police Department, arrested Todalo at his Wallingford home, Smith said.

Tondalo was held in lieu of $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 14.
