A man reportedly walked into Walmart in the Hamden Mart Monday afternoon and robbed the store, police said.

At about 2:45p.m. police received a report of a robbery at the store, police spokesman Capt. Ronald Smith said.

After investigating the report, officers determined that a black man in his 50s, about 5'8" and 160 lbs. with gray facial hair, wearing gold-colored framed glasses, brown coat and gray winter hat, "entered the store, approached the customer service counter and demanded money," Smith said.
