Another Storm: What You Need to Know

A parking ban is in effect as of noon Tuesday.



From the Mayor's Office:

Mayor Scott D. Jackson has issued a parking ban for the Town of Hamden effective Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 12:00pm noon until 24 hours after the storm ends

This ban is being declared pursuant to Section 71.03 of the Code of the Town of Hamden. The parking ban prohibits any person to park, or allow to remain parked, any vehicle on any odd numbered portion of a town street or highway.

The ban further prohibits any person to allow or permit a vehicle to stand or park on any town street or highway in such a manner as to constitute a hazard or obstruction to vehicular or pedestrian traffic.

The Hamden Police Department is authorized, pursuant to Section 71.07 of the Code of the Town of Hamden, to remove any vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance. Such removal shall be at the risk and expense of the owner of the vehicle.
