Connecticut's Top 25 Delinquent Business Taxpayers

A now shuttered Hamden used car dealer whose owner is facing a variety of criminal charges is among the businesses that are at least 90 days delinquent on their taxes, according to the state's Department of Revenue Services.

Connecticut's Top 25 delinquent business taxpayer accounts as of Jan. 1, 2013 are listed on the Department of Revenue Services website.   A full list of 100 businesses are listed if you click on the above link.

Bernardo Motors on State Street is listed fourth on the list, owing the state $699,753. Owner David Taylor has been arrested several times in the last year on charges that he defrauded customers and failed to pay off loans on cars. The business is shut down and Taylor is awaiting trial and his next court date is Thursday.

Many on this list as well as the 100 list are "repeat offenders," meaning they have been on a delinquent list previously, according to the website.

The list will be updated in April 2013.

while receiving Staples Rewards does help defray the cost of supplies for the teachers, they areRead More STILL putting cash out of their own pockets! This should not be. But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
