During that time, Head of Technical Services, Jessica Rogoz, will demonstrate how to download and install the proper apps and download items from the library’s e-book collection to these devices. She will also work with individuals on a one-to-one basis to get their device correctly synched for downloading.

The library’s e-book collection is provided through Overdrive, a third-party vendor that supplies e-books in a variety of formats compatible with most e-readers and mobile devices.

All Hamden residents are eligible to use this free service. A valid Hamden library card is required to set up an Overdrive account. Hamden residents may obtain a library card at any of the library’s three locations by presenting photo-ID and proof of Hamden residency.
