Little more information has surfaced from last week’s Waterbury Republicans Independence Day Dinner, where former Gov. M. Jodi Rell allegedly expressed dissatisfaction with Gov. Dannel Malloy’s leadership.

Malloy has credited his predecessors with the $3.6 billion deficit he met when he was elected governor in 2011, but CT Post reported Rell called those statements “lies” at the June 25 dinner.

Twitter user @WaterburyGOP tweeted at 7:33 p.m. on June 25, “Gov. Rell thoroughly eviscerating @DanMalloyCT @GovMalloyOffice claims of "turning the state around". This is the Jodi we all know and love!”

CT Post reported Rell blamed the deficit on the Democratic-controlled legislature, and many in attendance at the dinner crowd agreed with her sentiments.

The Office of Governor Dannel P. Malloy did not respond to multiple requests for comment. Jason Van Stone, chairman of the Waterbury Republican Town Committee, also did not respond to a request.

Who do you think is responsible for the 2011 deficit?

Conrad, not sure if you ever make sense. "a person who every opportunity and advantage, and yet was defeated" ? huh? I don't see much prominence and your fake incredulity about her losing has pretty clear reasons. Connectituct has 760,000 active Democrat voters, and 430,000 Republican voters. In a world where everyone supports their side, rather than for the correct principle, it's not hard to understand why Democrats win in Connecticut. It always baffles me why people want to appear smart by pretending to not understand reality. But maybe Conrad it's just true that you have no idea about anything.

Porter, all knowing and self righteous porter. Do you know if she is running for office again, is she just a big campaign contributor, or is she only a celebrity at this point? Dispense with the condescending and snide comments and answer the question if you can. Otherwise keep your insults to yourself. Didn't your mother teach you any manners?

Conrad F. Heede commented on the article "Former CT Governor Said Democrats are Responsible for 2011 Deficit" you commented on in Government: Porter. I asked a question. If all you can do is dismiss me for asking then you are either a bully or an asshole or both. -================================= Otherwise keep your insults to yourself. Didn't your mother teach you any manners? ======================= Enough said on that subject. As to Linda Mcmahon running or not, that was not your question. Your purpose in writing was to deride Ms Mcmahon. Sorry that people don't let you get away with your bull. But, clearly your mother taught you the wrong manners. (saying naughtly words isn't well mannered. Ok, Mr double set of standards. Anything else you want to KNOW? ) hahhaa Maybe you want to comment on the lack of principle of the GOP? Or something similar and then call people ill mannered?
