Hamden Library Branches to Start Saturday Hours

Beginning March 16, the Whitneyville Branch will be open Saturday mornings and the Brundage branch will be open Saturday afternoons.

 

Based on the success of the 2011-12 pilot project, Hamden Branch libraries will once again offer services on Saturdays beginning March 16.

Whitneyville Branch at 125 Carleton St. will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays through June 22 while Brundage-Community Branch at 91 Circular Ave. will open from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In addition to regular library services, Hamden’s Partnership for Young Children plans to once again offer its popular Saturday Cereal Club sessions for preschoolers and their parents at the Whitneyville Branch and Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven will provide tutoring for English language learners at Brundage Community Branch.
