Hamden Republicans, Democrats Endorse Candidates

Mayor Scott Jackson wants a third term, but several on the Legislative Council won't be returning for another stint.

Election season is officially here as the Republicans and the Democrats have both nominated candidates for the November election.

Mayor Scott Jackson is running for a third term, and he is facing retired Hamden firefighter Republican Bob Anthony. Democratic Town Clerk Vera Morrison also is facing a challenge from Republican Chris Corwel.

There will be a few less familiar faces on the Legislative Council. President and First District Councilwoman Judi Kozak is not running for reelection, and joining her is Fourth District Councilman David Hennigan, Eighth District Councilman John DeRosa and Ninth District Councilman Scott Harris.
