The Hamden Republican Town Committee officially endorsed Mitt Romney for President of the United States at its April meeting, Republican Town Chair Ron Gambardella said.
Romney’s name was put into nomination by Legislative Council Minority Leader Austin T. Cesare (R-At Large). Councilman Cesare stated after the meeting that “Mitt Romney is by far the best candidate to go up against the current incumbent President.
"Mitt Romney will put America on the path to prosperity and I encourage Hamden Republicans to support his candidacy," Cesare said.
Romney will visit Connecticut Wednesday with campaign stop scheduled in Hartford at a woman-owned business.
Chairman Gambardella urged all Hamden Republicans to vote on Primary Day, April 24. He also encourages the public to attend Hamden Republican Town Committee meetings held on the first Thursday of the month at the Miller Senior Center at 7:30 p.m.
