"Jackson for Hamden" Hosts Fundraiser, Voter Registration Drive

On Tuesday there will be a fundraiser at DeMil's on Whitney and on Wednesday a voter registration drive at Democratic Headquarters.

The Jackson for Hamden Committee has two events coming up this week, one a fundraiser and the other a voter registration drive.

The first event will be held at DeMil’s, located at 4137 Whitney Ave., on Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.  An assortment of foods from DeMil’s menu will be served. The suggested donation is $50. An ad book for businesses who wish to advertise to the many guests expected to be in attendance is also being prepared.

Checks can be made out to “Jackson for Hamden” and are accepted at the door or can be mailed to Jackson for Hamden, PO Box 185802, Hamden, CT 06518. For tickets or advertisements, contact Democratic Chairman Lew Panzo at jackson4hamden@gmail.com or 203-996-6163.

In partnership with the Connecticut State Central Democratic Committee, the Jackson for Hamden Committee will host a voter registration drive on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Hamden Democratic Headquarters located at 2600 Dixwell Ave., across from the Hamden Middle School.

Anyone interested in registering to vote or learning more about registering to vote in Hamden are welcome.  Voter registration forms will be available. Candidates and committee officials will also be available to discuss the issues.
