Mayor Jackson's Campaign Hosts Reception

The Jackson for Hamden Committee will host a fundraising event to support the re-election of Mayor Scott Jackson. This is the first major event hosted by the Jackson for Hamden Committee supporting the mayor’s 2013 campaign.

The reception will be held on Aug. 13 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Mickey’s Restaurant, 2323 Whitney Ave., across from Memorial Town Hall.  Delicious items from Mickey’s famous menu will be served throughout the evening. The suggested donation is $100.

“It means so much to me that residents have been expressing their support to me throughout the summer, at meetings, concerts and the grocery store," Jackson said.  “I want to thank them, because their support inspires me every day that I am mayor of the town of Hamden.”

“We are asking everyone who supports the improvements Mayor Jackson and his team are making to better the town’s finances, reform our pension plan, enhance our parks and playgrounds, increase our town center park free activities and so much more to come to this event and help the mayor get his message out," said Democratic Town Committee Chairman Lew Panzo. “We need to focus on this election, raise the funds needed to run a positive and informative campaign, to ensure that our Town keeps moving forward under Mayor Jackson’s leadership.”

Checks can be made out to “Jackson for Hamden” and are accepted at the door or can be mailed to Jackson for Hamden, PO Box 185802, Hamden, CT 06518.  Please RSVP Chairman Panzo at jackson4hamden@gmail.com or 203-996-6163.
