“I love chocolate milk,” said Governor Dannel Malloy on Thursday morning, before promising to defend its place in Connecticut schools.

Last month a bill passed in the General Assembly that bans the chocolate milk sold in schools, because of the small amounts of sodium added to the lunchtime favorite. The bill was passed in order to bring Connecticut in-line with new federal school lunch standards.

Malloy said this amount of salt wasn’t enough to justify banning chocolate milk, which many people believe is the only way children will get key nutrients. He says he will veto the bill, which will also veto other sections including student internship programs and professional development for teachers.

We want to hear from you in the poll and the Comments section: how important do you think chocolate milk is for Connecticut's school children?

This is the ONLY thing he's going to do right but that won't get my vote.

rather than toss out the whole bill, just amend it to exempt chocolate milk. such a fuss over nothing! politics make life such a ridiculous mess.

Lets see, Michelle Obama is tells us all the things we shouldn't eat, now Malloy says He likes chocolate milk, so that should be OK to have. I feel so sorry for the future generations with the liberals in control. They will not have any ability to make choices for themselves because, They will not know how to decide for themselves any longer.
