Hamden to Honor Dr. King Next Week

Hamden Police Chief Thomas Wydra will be this year's keynote speaker.

The Town of Hamden will hold its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration on Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in the Thornton Wilder Hall at Miller Library Complex.

This event offers attendees the opportunity to reflect on Dr. King’s life and his mission and how Dr. King has affected our lives.  Members of the public are invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.

Mayor Scott Jackson will welcome guests to the celebration. The moderator for the event is Pastor Sallie Lowry of the Hamden Arts, Recreation & Culture Department.
