Fitzgerald and Halliday Inc. of Hartford will conduct a traffic study workshop for the West Woods neighborhood of Hamden on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. at Thornton Wilder Hall in Hamden.
The workshop is open to the public and will feature a report on initial findings of the study and will be open to feedback and comments.
The workshop follows a public outreach process that has included an on-line survey with more than 400 participants.
Through the study, six roads were identified as having the most issues in terms of traffic: Shepard Avenue, Todd Street, West Woods Road, West Todd Street, River Road, Gaylord Mountain Road and Still Hill Road.
Remedies on how to best address traffic problems there will be discussed, as well as other issues concerning traffic calming in the West Woods area.
The study will continue through the fall and a final presentation of the plan is expected in mid-November.
