In its purest form it's just a beef patty on a bun. But today's burgers are much more complex, with toppings that range from the classic lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard to items that include everything from bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, avocado, chili or a fried egg. You could even get a burger made from turkey meat or bison, or a veggie one, too.
When it comes down to it, you could put just about anything on a burger. And there are some great restaurants serving some incredible burgers right here in Hamden. There's no dearth of choices for burgers here.
