Guacamole: The Garlic Edition

It's almost National Guacamole Day! Here's a great guacamole recipe for garlic-loving people.

National Guacamole Day is Monday, Sept. 16, so it's the perfect time to share a guacamole recipe with you!

How do you make your guacamole? Add your recipe to Hamden Patch's virtual cookbook!

I started with this Allrecipes guacamole recipe and then doctored it up a little to suit garlic-loving taste buds. Here's what I came up with!

Ingredients (serves 4 to 6 — everyone I know loves guacamole so their helpings are usually generous!)

  • 6 avocados - peeled, pitted, and mashed
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 to 2 jalapenos, chopped

Instructions

Just seemed weird to have a recipe without this section, but realistically, I think you know what to do with all the ingredients — put 'em together!

I will say this. I drop the avocado pits into the guacamole because I read somewhere that it prevents browning. I've done this trick when I had no lime juice and the guac stayed green!
