All in the Family: The Tradition Continues at Sacred Heart Academy

Incoming Freshman Class legacy stronger than ever.

Legacies  in the incoming Class of 2015 at Sacred Heart Academy were recognized at the recently held Incoming Freshman Orientation.

“The entering class comes from 53 different feeder schools and 32 towns throughout CT and two students from out of state, one from Maryland and one from Indiana," said  Elaine Lamboley, Director of Admission.

Sixteen members of the class have mothers who are Sacred Heart alumnae and five members of the class have grandmothers who are alumnae, she said. Twenty class members have one or more sisters who are current students or graduates – 23 sisters in all.

"Sacred Heart legacy is more strongly represented in this class than in any previous class. We are particularly struck with the number of alumnae who are sending their daughters to Sacred Heart," Lamboley said.

"The presence of these young women at the Academy is a testament to the importance that families place on the values learned here, and their desire to ensure that the Sacred Heart tradition continues," she said.
