With about a foot of snow forecast to start falling overnight, Hamden is joining districts throughout the state in closing school on Thursday, Feb. 13.
The town has also announced that a parking ban will be in effect at 6 a.m. on Feb. 13 until 6 a.m. on Feb. 15. This means no parking on the odd side of the street.
In addition, the transfer station will be closed on Feb. 13 and Feb. 14. It will be open on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Snow is expected to start around 3 a.m., and last for about 24 hours, according to the National Weather Service.
