The Hamden Rotary Club has named Irene Zou its May 2013 Student of the Month.

The Church Street School fourth grade student is a strong student who is actively involved in school life. She serves on the Student Council, volunteered at Hamden's Earth Day celebration and has worked on several service projects.
A polite young girl, Irene is generous with her time and talents, helping others with their work and problem solving.
