Due to the resignation of chairman Michael D'Agostino, who was elected in November to the state House of Representatives, there is a vacancy on the town's Board of Education that now needs to be filled.
The Town Charter requires that the board select through and interview and election process a Hamden resident who is a member of the same political party.
Therefore, this vacancy is open to all interested adult residents of Hamden who are registered Democrats. Any registered Democrat who is interested in serving on the Board of Education can submit a letter of interest and current resume. Your application must reflect the above requirements and describe your professional experience, education and community service.
Email the information to Wendy Ocone at firstname.lastname@example.org or send it to her attention at the Hamden Board of Education, 60 Putnam Ave., Hamden, CT 06517 or to Adam Sendroff, Board Secretary, at email@example.com by Jan. 11.
The board expects to fill the vacancy at its monthly meeting on Feb. 12. For more information, call Ocone at 203-407-2202.
