Enrollment Open for Hamden Youth Services' Youth Center

After-school programs provided for kids in grades six through 12.

 

 

The Hamden Youth Services’ Youth Center announces open enrollment for Hamden youth in grades 6 through 12.

The Center is located at 60 Putnam Ave. in the Board of Education building. Hours are from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to the Hamden Public Schools’ calendar.

Activities include homework time and assistance, basketball, arts and crafts, games, foosball, ping pong, video games, computers, daily snack and much more.

The youth are currently working with the Hamden Police Department on planning and executing Discovery Dances for typical youth and youth with special needs.  In addition, plans are under way for a February vacation camp.

The yearly registration fee is based on household income and ranges from $40.00 to $100.00 per year. This fee covers July 1, 2012-June 30, 2013. Transportation is provided from Ridge Hill School, Hamden Middle School and Hamden High School.
