Day One of Two Day 9/11 Symposium at Quinnipiac
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Quinnipiac University will present the two-day symposium, “How 9/11 Has Changed the World,” on Sept 8-9.
This event is free and open to the public.
Today, Anat Biletzki, the Schweitzer professor of philosophy at Quinnipiac, and Shamshad Sheikh, a Muslim adviser, will take part in the panel discussion, “Reflection on the Effect of 9/11 on the World,” from 12:15-1:30 p.m.

That will be followed by a panel discussion from 2-3:15 p.m. on “The Media and 9/11” featuring Margarita Diaz, chair and assistant professor of journalism at Quinnipiac, Paul Friedman, the former executive vice president of CBS News who is now a professional-in-residence at Quinnipiac, and Brian Stelter, a media reporter for The New York Times.
The day will conclude with a Quinnipiac School of Law Professors William Dunlap and Jeffrey Meyer discussing “International Law and Homeland Security” from 3:30-4:15 p.m.
