CT NOFA’s (Connecticut Chapter of the Northeast Organic Farming Association) Bill Duesing and Common Ground will cover the basics of building great soil in our gardens and in the compost pile. Tom Rathier, Emeritus Soil Scientist from the The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, will also be be on hand to address the issue of soil safety and lead contamination. Demonstrations of composting skills as well as great hand outs will be available.
