In Hamden, town students are still below the state averages in both CMT and CAPT scores.
In releasing the CMT and CAPT test scores for individual districts this year, the state Department of Education announced that CMT scores — given to students in grades three through eight — dipped as compared to last year, while CAPT performance — administered to 10th-graders — showed gains in some areas.
In Hamden, meanwhile, this year's scores were similar to last year's scores. That was particularly true on the CAPT test, as the 2013 numbers matched the 2012 numbers almost to the decimal.
Still, on just about every test, Hamden students scored lower than the state average. For a look at Hamden's CMT performance results, search the table above.
