Hamden Hall Country Day School encourages academically gifted and motivated middle and high school students to apply for a Weber Scholarship.
The Weber Scholarship provides an opportunity for exceptional students who are entering grades 7-10 to apply for this annual award to attend Hamden Hall, a preschool through grade 12 coeducational college preparatory school. Candidates should exhibit outstanding academic potential, good citizenship and a desire to be active members of the Hamden Hall community.
“The Weber Scholarship is awarded to qualified students who have excelled academically and who place in the top 5 percent of the applicant pool,” said Hamden Hall Head of School Robert J. Izzo. “In addition to their academic record, applicants should also embrace the school’s core values of excellence, support, participation, accountability and respect.”
To be considered for a Weber Scholarship, applicants must take an entrance examination. A special testing session will be held at Hamden Hall on Jan. 11, 2014. Contact the Department of Admissions at 203.752.2610 for more information.
A family’s financial situation may be considered in determining the amount of the annual award and Weber Scholarship candidates may also be considered for financial aid once enrollment is ascertained. More than 20 percent of Hamden Hall students receive need-based financial aid.
The Weber Scholarship was created In memory of Hamden Hall alumni siblings Anna, Emma, and William Weber. The scholarship allows Hamden Hall to recognize and support academically gifted students.
