WCSU Offers Welcome Events for Incoming Freshmen in Cheshire

Anyone who has ever prepared to send a child off to college knows how stressful and hectic those weeks between high school graduation and the first day of college can be. There are forms to fill out, classes to register for, I.D. cards to acquire, tuition payments to make — not to mention searching out the best deals on linens, dorm-room storage and studying supplies.

To help ease some of the stress and provide an opportunity for incoming students to ask questions of those who have “been there, done that,” Western Connecticut State University will offer a series of “send-off” events this summer, one of which will take place in Cheshire.

The event will provide new students and their parents a relaxed, casual environment in which to meet WCSU alumni, faculty, staff and current students and President James W. Schmotter to ask their need-to-know questions before heading off to campus in the fall.
