Sleeping Giant Build is a Habitat for Humanity community build that was formed in 2008. Since that time we have built four houses (two in New Haven and two in Hamden) and we are getting ready to begin work on our fifth: Build V
At this time we are seeking volunteers to join our executive board to help us with fund raising activities and improve our communications.
COMMUNICATION: if you are experienced with the various forms of communications that people use today: facebook, social media, blogging, tweeting, newsletter creation, website updating, etc. we could really use your help. We would like to find someone who can "be the voice" of Build V and help us keep others up to date on the progress of this project from the ground breaking to the dedication (usually between 6 to 9 months)
FUND RAISER & EVENT ORGANIZER: we also have a strong need for experienced fund raisers and event organizers to help us plan, organize and execute our first annual WALK FOR HUMANITY that we are planning for this summer (August 2013)
