QU Women defeat Fairleigh Dickinson, 66-39

Bobcats Match Best Start In Program History; Improve to 16-2.

Junior Camyrn Warner registered her second career double-double on Saturday afternoon as the Quinnipiac University women's basketball team defeated Fairleigh Dickinson, 66-39, at the TD Bank Sports Center. With the win, the Bobcats improved to 16-2 overall and 7-0 in NEC play – matching the best start to a season in program history.

Warner paced the Bobcats offense with a career-high 15 points, going 6-of-12 from the floor, grabbed 11 rebounds and had three blocks in the win. Jasmine Martin and Felicia Barron joined Warner in double-figures with 16 and 10 points, respectively, as Martin extended her streak with 10 points or more to 13 straight games. Barron added two steals and dished out a team-high five assists, while Brittany McQuain and Nikoline Ostergaard each finished with seven points and six rebounds.

Shooting woes plagued both teams in the opening stanza, as neither team managed a separation of more than six points. Martin was the bright spot for Quinnipiac, collecting 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting – including 3-of-3 from behind the arc; but Stephanie Isaac and Desiree Crawford countered by combining for 13 points to keep it close. The Bobcats carried five-point edge, 31-26, into the locker rooms at halftime.

After the break, Quinnipiac owned the next 10 minutes of action as the home team used an 18-7 run to open a double-digit advantage. The Bobcats entered the game with a scoring margin of plus-11 and added to their season average with a 27 point win at the end of regulation.

Quinnipiac held FDU to just 13 points in the second half as the Knights converted on 16.7 percent of their field goal attempts. The Bobcats forced 25 FDU turnovers in the game and mustered a 29-4 advantage in points-off-turnovers.

Dressed in pink socks for the game, Quinnipiac coaches and players supported the "Play 4Kay" initiative which is designed to help raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. Since its inception in 2007, the Play 4Kay initiative has raised over $2 million to support women's cancer research.

The Bobcats are back in action on Monday night against CCSU at the TD Bank Sports Center. The Blue Devils boast an 11-7 overall record and are 5-2 in the Northeast Conference. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

But its all unfolding before our very eyes, we all seem toooo busy, and preoccupied to see it. Our present government is the most corrupt, unconstitutional, and criminal we as americans have ever had. So brace youselves, its gonna get a lot worse, before it gets better. Learn from the past, there is only ONE HOPE, thats GOD above. We all better get on our knees and start praying for MERCY<<!!!

Get out of the Common Core mandated curriculum that's how you save our children. He's a report fromRead More Dept of Ed- DOE released a report as part of its common core standards that included technology to monitor students in the name of developing best teaching practices that could promote "GRIT,TENACITY, AND PERSERVERANCE." Behavior task performance measures are the broad set of methods used to capture behavior consistent with perseverance or lack thereof, and in many cases associated emotional experiences, physical movements or facial expressions, physiological responses, and thoughts-- that students do in response to a particular challenge, the report said. Wanting to understand a student's response in a time of stress, the dept. report went on to state its desire to analyze various metrics, including facial expression, brain waves patterns, heart rate, posture and eye tracking using facial recognition cameras, posture analysis seats, pressure mouse, and wireless skin conductance sensor ( worn around the wrist). Sensors provide constant, parallel streams of data and are used with data mining techniques and self report measures to examine frustration, motivation/flow, confidence, boredom and fatigue, the report said.

while receiving Staples Rewards does help defray the cost of supplies for the teachers, they areRead More STILL putting cash out of their own pockets! This should not be. But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.

;) It's funny- I was having a conversation with Progressive Mom. She is clueless. She is I'm sureRead More for the collective. I tried to explain things to her. didn't get thru. They are just blinded by their ideology and will NOT listen or do any research on their own. they listen to talking points and main stream media who are in the tank with this administration. Relatives , brother, wife, sisters, are in official position in CBS, NBC,ABC who work for BHO in his administration. Of course they're going to be in bed with them. Blood is thicker than water. Anyway, at least we know, now we need to tell all who we come in contact with.
