“Her commitment to leading; she plays with heart on the basketball court, on the volleyball court and in practice," says Alexandro. "In every facet of school and athletics she's one that you know you can depend on to give it her all. She is really committed to the team concept and constantly improving, she's also really receptive to coaching and team input.”

“It's like my life; school and athletics," says Kane. "Sports are really important to me. At Sacred Heart I was able to find everything I wanted to do with sports. Our success this year really comes from just a little bit of everything."

On this Valentine's Day, Hamden Patch would like to thank Kane and the Pacers for playing with such heart. Kane, who recently aquired her driver's license, says she has a special thank-you to give on Valentine's Day.

“I have to say thanks to my parents because they drive me everywhere. Hopefully, that's going to change.”
