Hamden Couple Donates Books in Memory of Beloved Dog

Hamden residents Suzanne and Christian DeCarlo donated books to second grade students at St. Mary School in Milford Friday in memory of their dog, Amica, who passed away this past September.

Students in Suzanne DeCarlo’s second grade class at Saint Mary School in Milford all received copies of a children’s book entitled “Roxy’s Forever Home” on Friday.

The books were donated by Hamden residents Suzanne and Christian DeCarlo, in memory of their dog, Amica, who passed away this past September.

Farmington author Teresa Pelham and her little brown dog, Roxy, visited the school to speak with students about writing and dog rescue. Proceeds from the sale of the book go directly to the dog rescue volunteers who saved Roxy from the streets of Tennessee and brought her to her new family in Connecticut. To purchase a book -- signed by both Teresa and Roxy, and delivered in time for Christmas -- visit www.roxysforeverhome.com.
