The Rotary Club of Hamden recently awarded scholarships to two recent Hamden High School graduates.
The students were selected based upon their history of community service.
Rotarian Richard Asklar is shown with University of Connecticut-bound Jennifer Pilchik and Harvard-bound David Hu.
Both students spoke eloquently as they told the gathered Rotarians about the volunteer work they have done and the pleasure it brings to their lives.
The Rotary Club motto , "Service Above Self" is alive and well in these two young humanitarians.
