This Week in Hamden: Candlelight Vigil for Newtown

There's lots of government meetings this week, and a special candlelight vigil Thursday to remember the victims of Sandy Hook.



Monday, Dec. 9:


— The Disabilities Commission meets at 7 p.m. in the Miller Library Friend's Room.

Tuesday, Dec. 10:

— The Economic Development Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. in the Hamden Government Center Third Floor Conference Room.

— The Library Board meets  at 7:00 p.m. in the Library Director’s office at the Miller Library.

— The Parks and Recreation Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. in Hamden Government Center.

— The Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 7 p.m. in Thornton Wilder Auditorium at Miller Library. Find the agenda here.

Wednesday, Dec. 11:

— The Fire Commission meets at 6 p.m. in the Hamden Government Center Third Floor Conference Room.

The Traffic Authority meets at 6 p.m. at the Miller Library Complex Senior Activity Room. Find the agenda here.

Thursday, Dec. 12:

—  The Town of Hamden Human Rights and Relations Commission will be hosting 
a candlelight vigil entitled "Light the Night," to show love and support, and to remember the senseless act imposed on Sandy Hook Elementary School and the Newtown community. The vigil will begin at 6 p.m. in front of Memorial Town Hall. Get more information here.
