— The Legislative Council meets at 7 p.m. at Thornton Wilder Auditorium at Miller Library. Find the agenda here.

The Civil Service Commission meets at 9 a.m. in the Conference Room of the Town Attorney at the Government Center.

Tuesday, Dec. 3:

— The Veteran's Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. at the Hamden Senior Center activity room.

— The Farmington Canal Commission meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Hamden Government Center's third floor conference room. 

— The Board of Ethics meets at 8 p.m. in the 1st floor Conference Room of the Hamden Government Center. Find the agenda here.

Wednesday, Dec. 4:

— The Hamden Arts Commission meets at 7 PM in the Miller Library Activity Room.

— The Inland Wetlands Commission meets at 7 p.m. in Thornton Wilder Auditorium at Miller Memorial Library.

Thursday, Dec. 5:

— Books & Company and Legal Grounds hosts a reading of "A Child's Christmas in Wales," performed by Colin Lane with music by Rebecca Zaretsky. The event is free and begins at 4 p.m. at the store at 1235 Whitney Ave.

Saturday, Dec. 7

— The annual Silverbells Festival takes place today at Town Center Park. Get all the information here.

— Get a picture of your pet with Santa and help support the Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter. Santa will be at Petco at 390 Universal Dr. in North Haven at 1 p.m.
